    Can’t disagree with most that but it’s a vast overstatement to say. “If you take more than 1 or 2 grams of traditional Vitamin C, the ascorbic acid in the intestines will cause gastric distress including gas, cramps, and diarrhoea.”. I have personally taken 30 grams per day for a number of weeks when my immune system was under functioning with no such distress and I regularly take 5 – 10 grams per day at other times. I don’t think mine is the only system that tolerates high doses of, “traditional”, vitamin C
